Coach/Consulting for EducatorsCoaching Programs for teachers, professors, principals, and other educators are designed individually by Lorna Kellogg. The programs are heavily influenced by the Kellogg Model and coaching clients in this domain may want to familiarize themselves with this model. To read the article about the Kellogg Model from the May 1999 Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, click here. (Note: This is a 17-page article that will open as a PDF with Adobe Reader.) Childcare & Education ConsultingI provide Childcare and Education consulting services to childcare centers, educational communications, legislators, foundations and others who are interested in issues relating to high quality childcare and schools. I draw on 15 years of experience in developing and designing high quality educational programs with some of the top early childhood educators in the world as well as 15 years of study at some of the best universities and institutes in the world. Consulting services include addressing quality issues, ECERS and ITERS evaluations, licensing, accreditation, parent and teacher evaluations/training, organizational/board development, start up, fund development, legislation drafting and advocacy work among others. Please feel free to contact me for a copy of the Kellogg Model or a copy of the article about it which was published in the May 1999 Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science. Early Childhood Education Programs for TeachersI estimated at one point in my career that I had interviewed, trained and observed over 2,000 Early Childhood Educators. Mary Culkin (of the Cost, Quality and Childcare Outcomes Study fame) and I used to talk regularly about the importance of childcare employees having degrees in child development or early childhood education. We agreed that it is foundational to a child care program's ability to provide high quality care and an important aspect of the Kellogg Model. There is, of course, a large body of research that supports this. Here is a partial list of some of the institutions from which some of the best teachers I've encountered have graduated:
